Buying a dress
What payment options do I have?
You have the option to pay though Google Checkout or with a Money Order (Cashiers Check). Please contact Alex Borodko at 314-398-1435 if you have any questions.
Can i try a dress on before buying?
Yes! You do have the option of trying a dress on. To do so you have to purchase a dress first and then return in time to get full refund. You will pay only shipping fees. Refer to our Return policy for details.
Return Policy.
Buyers have only few days to return the dress. A dress must be shipped back by Thursday of the week the dress was received. This should give enough time to try the dress on and it gives security to the Seller that the dress will not be used for a competition or showcase. The Buyer will be charged 35% the cost of the dress (Renter’s Fee) if the dress is not postmarked by the Thursday of the week the Buyer received the dress. Buyer will pay shipping costs to and from Seller. Buyer will be reimbursed the cost of the dress (minus shipping costs) after BallroomAdvisor.com receives an e-mail from the Seller that the dress has been returned in the same condition as it was sent. The Buyer needs to notify BallroomAdvisor.com of their intent to keep or return the dress by the Thursday the dress was due to be shipped back to the Seller. Buyers, please shower before trying on the dress. Do not practice in the dress for extended periods. We expect that you will handle the dress as though it is yours and you want to sell it. If for any reason the dress is returned showing new signs of wear (odor, sweat stains, rips, etc.), the Buyer will be placed on a “Watch List”. If BallroomAdvisor.com receives repeated complaints against the same Buyer, they will be placed on a “No Business With List”.
Return Shipping
No overnight shipping will be required. We suggest to ship the dress using USPS’s Priority Mail Regular Flat-Rate Box (cost $10.35) or Priority Mail Large Flat-Rate Box (cost $13.95). You are required to add Delivery Confirmation ($0.65-0.75), which gives you the date, ZIP Code™ and time your article was delivered. You are welcome to use FedEx or UPS. If the Buyer lives in Canada, please contact BallroomAdvisor.com at 314-398-1435 to set up a shipping rate. BallroomAdvisor.com is not responsible for any Items that have been lost, misplaced, or damaged during the sale or the shipping process.

Is it easy to sell a dress with BallroomAdvisor.com?
We provide a new and affordable way to sell your dress. No more huge consignment fees! Be in control of your gown! BallroomAdvisor.com charges no listing fee for your dress. If a dress sells on the website, the Seller will be charged 12.50% of the sale price of the dress. Sellers can contact BallroomAdvisor.com if they need assistance listing a dress or deciding on a fair price for the dress at 314-398-1435.
How to list my dress in BallroomAdvisor.com's shop?
To sell a Dress, you must register with BallroomAdvisor.com. During the registration process, check the box “Would you like to be a private seller?” You will be asked to enter additional information about yourself such as address and phone number. If you are already a registered member, go to “Edit Profile”, and you can change your profile to become a private seller. After registration, you will receive an e-mail with a step-by-step guide on how to list an item.
What if the dress is received in a different condition than I sent it?
BallroomAdvisor.com is not responsible for any Items that have been mishandled, lost, misplaced, or damaged during the sale process.
Seller must give a detailed description of the Item including size, any measurements you may have, fabric, and all stains, rips, or any flaws the dress might have. If flaws in the dress are not listed in the description, and the Buyer complains, the Seller will be placed on a Watch List. If there are repeated cases, BallroomAdvisor.com reserves the right to refuse to list any more of the Seller’s items and to remove currently listed items from the website.
Buyers, please shower before trying on the dress. Do not practice in the dress for extended periods. We expect that you will handle the dress as though it is yours and you want to sell it. If for any reason the dress is returned showing new signs of wear (odor, sweat stains, rips, etc.), the Buyer will be placed on a “Watch List”. BallroomAdvisor.com is not responsible for any Items that have been lost, misplaced, or damaged during the shipping process.
The Seller is responsible for shipping the Item on a specific time frame. The Buyer should receive the dress by the first or second Monday or Tuesday following an e-mail notification that the Item has been purchased. Please contact BallroomAdvisor.com at 314-398-1435 for assistance.
Shipping Policy.
The Buyer will be charged $15 for shipping. The Seller is responsible for shipping the dress on a specific time frame. The Buyer should receive the dress by the first or second Monday or Tuesday following an e-mail notification that the dress has been purchased. Remember, this time frame is in place to protect the Seller. Keep in mind the Buyer only has a few days to try the dress on. The Buyer must ship the dress back by Thursday of the same week that the dress was received. This process will help prevent the dress from being worn at a competition or showcase and then returned to the Seller for a refund.
